Funding

Funding

At Best Start Occupational Therapy, we understand the importance of accessible and affordable care for children and their families. There are various funding options to help you access our services, including:

Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM)

If your child has a chronic medical condition or has difficulties in 2 or more areas and is eligible for Medicare, they may qualify for a Chronic Disease Management Plan. The CDM includes rebates for up to five sessions of occupational therapy per calendar year. Parents will need to cover the gap between the medicare rebate and the Best Start OT fees. Contact your GP for more information on how to access this funding option.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

If your child is an NDIS participant (self-managed or plan-managed), you can use your NDIS funding to access our occupational therapy services. We can assist you with the NDIS planning process and provide the necessary documentation for funding approval.

Private Health Insurance

Many private health insurance plans offer rebates or coverage for occupational therapy services. Check with your insurance provider to determine your coverage options and reimbursement rates. We can provide you with itemised receipts and invoices for submission to your private health insurer.
